Preparativos para la instalacion del los frenos de 944

se chequeo el flexible de escarabajo con el caliper nuevo y va sin problemas, tambien se chequeo el espacio entre la tazita grasera con las llantas cup 3, con las de boxster puede llegar a ser un problema , el kit aumenta el offset en 13 mm por lado.

en la foto se pueden ver las distintas versiones de 944T , la mia es la vieja 86, la nueva lleva la maza abulonada desde atras , la vieja va adelante del disco

Mocking up the parts for the new brakes, the brake lines bolts right in the new caliper, also checked the clearance between the grease cap and and the hub cap, no problems so far,however for the Boxster wheel there might be a problem , offset is increased 13 per side with this kit.

in the picture we can see , the early 86 944T vs late 944 T they are different the hub goes from the back in the newer versions, my early version, the hub goes on top of the disc brake

Llego de Canadá el kit de frenos a disco delanteros de Porsche 944 Turbo, después de esperarlo casi un año ... aqui está
el sistema consta de 2 puntas de eje desfazadas "Dropped Spindles" maquinadas para aceptar un adaptador para el caliper de 944, y pintadas color negro , los 2 hubs maquinados para aceptar rulemanos de VW escarabajo, retenes y tornillos .

los rulemanes de rueda son marca Febi Bilstein , repuesto numero 03674 , para pieza numero 191 598 625 vw-audi-seat

el ruleman grande tiene numeros lm 45449 p6

el ruleman chico tiene numeros lm11749 p6

la pista chica , conica es lm 11710

Arrived from Canada the Porsche 944 Turbo disc brake kit for the VW bug, after a year waiting, but here it is
the system has dropped spindles ( painted black ) machined to accept a bracket that holds the 944T calipers, also the hubs were machined for vw bearings, seals and hardware

Se instalo el recuperador de aceite con mangueras AN-8 para las tapas de cilindro y AN-10 para el block , tambien se agrego el bolque y con filtro de nafta conectados a los carburadores con mangueras AN-6 , la presion que genera la bomba de nafta es de 2.5 psi , correcta para carburadores.
Tambien se trabajo en el sensor de mariposa adaptado o (TPS ) a un Weber IDF



The breather box was installed , AN-8 hoses for the heads,and AN-10 for the case , also the y block was installed with the fuel filter, the carburators were connected via AN-6 hoses, the fuel pressure generated by the electric fuel pump is 2.5 psi, which is correct for carburators
Also a TPS was installed in a Weber IDF carburator , the kit was supposed to be for an idf, but it wasnt

Helice de 12 Palas

Kaku maquinó una helice de 12 palas para que calce en el soporte de las viejas de 11 palas, se tuvo que disminuir el diámetro de la hélice, y maquinar el soporte del alternador, ya que es mas gruesa, también un tornero hizo la maza para que acepte la vieja chaveta

lo bueno es que se puede intercambiar las helices de Porsche 911 entre las de 5 , 11 y 12 palas muy fácilmente y rápido.

Kaku machined a newer Porsche 964 12 blade fan so it can fit the old 11 blade housing , he had to decrease the diameter of the fan, also machining of the alternator support was needed since the fan is wider than the 11 and 5 blade fans, also a hub had to be made so it would allow the old wodroof key .

the nice feature is that he can switch betwenn fans , 5 - 11- 12 blade with the same housing real quick

Hoy pinte la rueda fonica con pintura de alta temperatura y el soporte del sensor hall
la rueda fonica es una del tipo 12 menos 1, el soporte va agarrado en la parte del la bomba mecanica de combustible , la polea es una polea scat para carter seco de 5 pulgadas

today i painted the trigger wheel with high temp paint, and the hall sensor bracket as well
the triggerwheel is the 12-1 type , the bracket goes bolted in the mechanics fuel pump location , the pulley is a scat racing pulley , 5 inches for dry sump applications

Venteo

Llegó el venteo para el motor , tiene 3 conectores machos AN 8 y un filtro , se van a ventear las tapas de cilindros con los conectores de los costados , y el block con el de abajo


The breather box arrived, it has 3 male AN 8 connectors and a foam , will vent the heads with the connectors from the sides, and the case with the one from the bottom.
